Winning tenders for IMPULS repairs

Recen­tly, two car­riers, namely Szybka Kolej Miej­ska (SKM) in War­saw and Koleje Dol­no­ślą­skie, selec­ted NEWAG’s bids to per­form tech­ni­cal inspec­tion of IMPULS tra­ins manu­fac­tu­red by the Company.

For SKM War­saw, the Nowy Sącz manu­fac­tu­rer will per­form main­te­nance level P4 repa­irs of six 35WE elec­tric mul­ti­ple units (EMUs) con­si­sting of six sec­tions. Under its offer, NEWAG will per­form all work rela­tive to the main­te­nance level P4 tech­ni­cal repa­irs in accor­dance with the Main­te­nance Sys­tem Docu­men­ta­tion appro­ved by the car­rier as well as addi­tio­nal works inc­lu­ding train pain­ting, lega­li­zing all equ­ip­ment and per­for­ming all works neces­sary for the tra­ins to achieve tech­ni­cal con­di­tions set forth in legal pro­vi­sions. The deadline for com­ple­tion of the total works is eight mon­ths since gran­ting the con­tract. The total net value of the SKM War­saw order is PLN 19 770 000.00.

NEWAG’s offer for Koleje Dol­no­ślą­skie, on the other hand, covers the per­for­mance of the main­te­nance level P3 repa­irs of five 31WE EMUs con­si­sting of four sec­tions. Bey­ond the scope of level P3 repa­irs, NEWAG will replace worn-out mono­block whe­els. It sho­uld be empha­si­zed that each of the IMPULS tra­ins ope­ra­ted by Koleje Dol­no­ślą­skie has cove­red at least 500 000km and this is the first time the mono­block wheel repla­ce­ment is per­for­med. More­over, NEWAG will expand the exi­sting train Pas­sen­ger Infor­ma­tion Sys­tem by instal­ling new side desti­na­tion boards. The deadline for the per­for­mance of the total works is Decem­ber 2016. NEWAG’s pro­po­sed net price for per­for­ming the total works, which was accep­ted by the car­rier, is PLN 2 645 000.00.
