The first three-section IMPULS set out on its journey today

On Sunday, 15th December, 2013, the first, high-comfort, three-section IMPULS manufactured at NEWAG S.A. started its regular journey servicing the route Rzeszów-Przemyśl.

The new rail vehicle, named after  Rev. Cardinal Adam Kozłowiecki, was officially handed over to Przewozy Regionalne  by Władysław Ortyl,  the Marshal of Podkarpackie Province  and Zbigniew Konieczek, President and CEO of NEWAG S.A. on Friday 13th December at 1 p.m.

Mr Ortyl, while handing over the vehicle to Przewozy Regionalne, emphasised that this was a modern, comfortable and eco-friendly means of transport. We are investing in the new rolling stock in order to improve the comfort of travelling. Soon, six more similar trains will be servicing railway routes in our Province, said Marshal Ortyl.

Marshal Ortyl, you displayed great wisdom while preparing the technical specifications for this order, said Mr  Konieczek.  You have ordered a high quality train which features amenities rarely seen on Polish railway tracks.

Impuls 36 WE is the first three-section electric multiple unit manufactured by NEWAG S.A. It is one of the most comfortable trains in Poland. It is fitted with seats with leather-covered armrests and headrests. The hermetically-sealed retention tank toilet is equipped with a sink with photoelectric sensor and an electric hand dryer. This modern, comfortable train features not only pleasant and functional interior, air conditioning, passenger information system, lifts and spaces for wheelchairs. It is also very quiet thanks to the cutting edge technological solutions used. Apart from the pleasant appearance, the train meets the highest safety standards making the journey not only comfortable but, most importantly, safe.
