The passenger compartment is equipped with a passenger information system, a GPS monitoring system as well as comfortable seats and luggage shelves. Additionally, the EMUs have hanging racks for bicycles, a baby changing station and lifts for the disabled. A specially designed control panel surrounding the driver’s seat enables to notice objects located close to the train front. The IMPULS 2 operating speed is 160 km/h.
The 222Ma diesel multiple units for the Podkarpacie Province are two-unit vehicles of 43m in length. Each DMU will have passenger capacity of 257 passengers including 115 seating capacity. Four doors (two on each side) will enable passengers to enter and leave the train fast.

An interior monitoring system ensures passengers’ safety and an intercom enables to communicate with the driver’ s cab. The passenger compartment is air-conditioned and has windows enabling free ventilation and a passenger counting system. The DMUs are adapted to needs of passengers with restricted mobility with special designated spaces and ramps have been installed which facilitate boarding and de-boarding for passengers with restricted mobility, passengers with small children and cyclists. The maximum operational speed of 222Ma DMUs is 130 km/h.
